Welcome to the 2018-19 Year from Chairperson

We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give”

Dear Families and Friends of the Churchill Cluster Community,

A warm welcome from the Winston Churchill High School Educational Foundation.
I’m honored to be leading the Foundation for another year.

As a community, we are all dedicated to supporting educational excellence and Winston Churchill High School continues to be recognized locally and nationally for high standards and outstanding achievement. This year we have again been rated the #1 high school in Maryland by US News & World Report!

The WCHS Educational Foundation, with the support of your generous donations, provides funding to Churchill High School Cluster in pursuit of these high standards of educational excellence. The Foundation’s financial support has assisted over the years in bridging the gap between County funding and specific educational needs.

The excellence in education being demonstrated in our Cluster is also only possible through a strong bond and seamless coordination with the schools in our cluster. We aim to work hard this coming year to further bring together our feeder schools.

If every family in our Cluster contributed a minimum of $25, it would allow us to achieve our mission to enhance the educational experience for this academic year. Support received to date has translated into tangible assets such as the  Autoclave, Chromebooks, Performance Laptops, Promethean Boards, Spectrophotometers, as well as Grants to staff and students.

The Winston Churchill High School Educational Foundation is 100% volunteer lead by high school students, parents, and staff. Our future depends on our volunteers, hence a humble request for you to please consider getting involved.

As we approach the holiday season, I would like to thank all of you who are already involved in supporting the Foundation, as well as extend a hand of welcome to new volunteers who are keen to help make a difference. We have much to be thankful for in our community and by working together we can make a positive impact and enhance the educational experience of every student in our cluster.

With appreciation,
Ms. Aman Shergill
