Volunteer Positions

We are so glad to hear from you. Here are some of the areas where we can use some help right now. Please let us know what you may be able to help us with, and our Volunteer Coordinator will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks!

Grant Writer

To develop a uniform approach for grant applications and to maximize the opportunity for available grants. To familiarize themselves with the Foundation’s mission, goals, and financial needs. Research potential opportunities and prepare grant proposals for funding (typically applications to foundations, the government, or a trust).

Community Outreach Coordinator

Further connect the community at large to our organization. He or she will promote the mission of the Foundation. A community outreach coordinator might help with organizing events, recruiting volunteers, or arrange other projects to get the community excited about and invested in the Foundation.

Volunteer Coordinator

Manage all the elements of working with our volunteers. He or she will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, and placing volunteers, as well as training and managing them.

Fundraising Manager and Coordinators

To support the Board’s Events and Fundraising Committee Chair, by expanding our fundraising efforts. They will also help develop a fundraising plan, secure financial support. Plan donor appreciation events, and other projects to ensure the Foundation meets its annual and long-term goals. We also need at least two Fundraising Co-ordinators to work hand in hand with the manager to achieve these efforts.

Churchill Cluster Parent/Teacher Representatives

Are you a parent or a teacher at one of our Churchill Cluster schools? We are looking for representatives who will liaison between the Foundation and the various schools that feed into Winston Churchill High School: Cabin John and Herbert Hoover Middle Schools, and Bells Mill, Beverly Farms, Potomac, Seven Locks and Wayside Elementary Schools, with the responsibility of enhancing the existing communications between the schools and the Foundation and further realizing our mission. The volunteer would represent the Foundation at the various Cluster Schools’ PTAS meetings, learn how we can work together on mutual goals, and communicate those ways to our Board.

Student Mentor

The Foundation board consists of student members, recognizing their voices and shepherding their endeavors in relation to our mission. The Student Mentor will support the Foundation’s Vice Chair in making their ideas come to fruition.

Creative Support

We can use some creative support! We need writers to help with Blog, Facebook, and Twitter Posts; and photographers and videographers to help document our events and provide content.
