The Foundation Elevates its Game with the 2018 Harlem Wizards Event!
Over 600 attendees watched as the Harlem Wizards played, entertained, and playfully teased the Churchill All-Stars on March 11, 2018. The team of six Wizards: Lamarvon “Showtime” Jackson, KING ARTHUR Lewis Jr., Rob “SMOOTH” Young, T.J. “TOMAHAWK” Stukes, Jordan “HANG-TIME” Hoose, and Jimmy “LIVE ACTION” Bosque enthralled the spectators with their hijinks, hilarity, and hoops!
Because of the successful attendance and the amazing generosity of our business and family sponsors, the Foundation was able to raise over $22K that will go directly to our continued support of “Enhancing the Educational Experience.” These monies have historically funded educational equipment such as Promethean Boards, an Autoclave, and Chromebooks, as well as grants to students and teachers for a variety of educational programs.
The Wizards are a show basketball team delivering wildly successful fundraiser events for schools and nonprofits, and this year their team was challenged by a talented and forceful Churchill All-Star team:

Volunteers
In addition to the All Stars, a dedicated group of Volunteers helped organize and facilitate the event, working ticket sales, scanning tickets, checking in the Churchill All-Stars, selling concessions and souvenirs, and checking in the Courtside plus holders. Student volunteers helped by keeping score, selling off the souvenirs cart inside the gym. and schlepping and moving event material with a ready and smiling attitude.
The Foundation would like to thank all who attended, the All-Stars, Business and Family Sponsors, and all the volunteers who helped make the event such a success.
